Role Overview The Head of Clinical Innovation leads the Clinical Innovation function within Bupa Health Services, driving the strategic identification, development, and implementation of transformative clinical solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of patient-centred care by integrating emerging technologies, evidence-based practices, and collaborative approaches across service lines. You'll help us make health happen by: Leading innovation strategy and pipeline development: defining and leading the clinical innovation strategy. Proactively engaging the business to surface opportunities, building a strong internal and external network, and creating a visible funnel of ideas aligned to strategic priorities. Prioritisation and delivery: selecting and implementing 2-3 high-impact innovations per year, ensuring sponsorship and alignment with HSET priorities. Agile Innovation and Test-and-Learn culture: stablishing a fast and flexible approach to identifying, testing, and scaling clinical innovations - from bench to bedside - fostering a test-and-learn mindset across teams. Advisory and enablement: providing plug-and-play support and advisory input to other teams to enable scalable innovation across service lines. Performance and impact measurement: setting clear metrics for success. Regularly reviewing and analysing data to assess effectiveness and refine strategy. External engagement: building relationships with external partners, academic institutions, and technology providers to bring in additional expertise and resources. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Proven experience in clinical innovation, transformation, or product development within healthcare. Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to align innovation with business priorities. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies and services, informed by market and customer insight. Deep understanding of clinical governance, regulatory frameworks, and healthcare delivery models. Strong analytical skills and experience in using data to drive decisions and measure impact.
