Head of Bid Management

The Head of Bid Management champions business winning activities across the organisation. This is a strategic, senior role for an experienced bid practitioner who is willing and able to challenge ideas and decisions when necessary.
Lead the bid team, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members, subject matter experts and other contributors, to ensure alignment with business strategy, objectives and timelines.
Lead the development of an exceptionally effective business winning capability, while providing strategic guidance and direction throughout the bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification to bid preparation, submission, and post-submission activities.
The position also requires building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues in all eir evo divisions.
Expectations From TheRole:Key Responsibilities
Team management, implementing best practices in tendering and bidding.
Leading transformational project to establish a high performing business winning functions across the organisation
Manage the bid budget, resource allocations, and subcontractor/vendor relationships to optimise bid delivery
Oversee bid kick-off meetings, strategy sessions, and progress reviews to ensure effective communication, coordination, and accountability across bid teams.
Continuously monitor and evaluate bid performance to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices.
Team leadership, support, influencing and management of key bids
Continuously improve quality of bids and win rates.
Support capture activities and win strategy development on key bids, contribute to win themes and solutions
Requirements For ASuccessful Application:Knowledge and Experience
Degree in a related field, such as engineering or business, additional certifications in project management or bid management are a plus.
Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives and targets.
Experience in a range of industries including technology solutions, with a proven track record in bid team leadership.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower bid teams to achieve objectives and deliver high-quality results.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions under tight deadlines
Desired but not essential:
Membership of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals
(APMP) professional body
APMP certification at Practitioner or Foundation Level
Experience implementing AI bidding software solutions
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, hardworking, meticulous in their
approach and have a keen interest in applying the latest industry developments.
