Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Group-wide responsibility for the general ledger and harmonized chart of accounts
  • Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including group reporting packages for consolidation
  • Ensure compliance with HGB, while actively preparing and managing the transition to IFRS
  • Responsibility for statutory reporting, including group consolidation and coordination of local filings
  • Act as the primary contact for external Group auditors
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve group accounting policies, procedures, and approval workflows
  • Ownership and governance of the transfer pricing policy, ensuring consistent application across all entities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency, notably through a further development of the SAP 4/HANA system
  • Prepare financial narratives and explanations for Banks on quarterly and annual balance sheet items
  • Provide functional leadership, guidance, and training to international accounting teams with indirect reporting
Your Qualifications

Professional Attributes

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
  • 8-10 years professional experience in group accounting, ideally in an international environment, prior experience in an audit firm is a clear plus
  • Proven and in depth experience working with SAP S4/HANA; experience in process harmonization and SAP rollouts
  • Strong hands-on expertise in HGB; practical experience with IFRS or IFRS conversion projects is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of consolidation, statutory reporting, audit management, and transfer pricing
  • Experience leading or coordinating remote and indirect teams across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong analytical, structured, and process-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Fluent in English and German; additional languages are an advantage
