Head of Academy Sports Science

To lead, develop, and deliver the Athletic Development programme across all age groups within the Academy, ensuring alignment with the club's performance philosophy, the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP), and multidisciplinary best practice. In addition to departmental leadership, the post holder will act as the lead Sports Scientist for the Under-21 squad, providing daily performance support, monitoring, physical preparation, return-to-play integration, and match-day services to maximise player development and readiness for senior football.

You will be an experienced Sports Science professional with a proven track record in an elite football environment, strong leadership skills and a passion for developing young players.

You will hold:

• A Master's degree in Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning or a related discipline.
• UKSCA Accreditation.
• BASES Accreditation (or evidence of working towards).
• You will have excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills and be able to build strong working relationships across a multidisciplinary team while supporting the development of players towards senior football.
• FA Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency First Aid in Football qualifications.
• An Enhanced DBS Check and Full UK Driving Licence.
