Head Instructor

What We Offer

We are seeking a dedicated Head Instructor who plays an important role in ensuring the success of our operations and programs. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an organization that believes in the potential of every individual, regardless of their abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise therapeutic riding programs and activities.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality equine-assisted services.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for riders and volunteers.
  • Oversee horse management, care, and training appropriate for RDA lessons.
  • Develop and implement program objectives, outcomes, and best practices.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for instructors and volunteers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 10 years of relevant equestrian experience, especially in therapeutic riding.
  • Background in Equine Facilitated Learning or willingness to become certified.
  • Extensive experience with riding school level horses.
  • Strong knowledge of horse management, care, and training suitable for RDA lessons.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in spoken Cantonese is a plus.
  • Demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness, dependability, and accountability.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about making a difference.
  • Excellent team player and team builder.
  • Less experience will be considered.
