Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. We are located in a very tourist driven area, where our peak season is between the months of April through to November. We are currently offering breakfast (including breakfast daily for our seven guest rooms), brunch and our wood fired pizza menu through the summer months, however, there is scope to expand our offerings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills to shape our menu and inspire our team.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
Manage food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional development and teamwork
Ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours, maintaining a smooth workflow
Uphold hospitality standards by ensuring excellent service delivery in collaboration with front-of-house staff
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally in a restaurant setting
Extensive food preparation, cooking, and kitchen experience with a strong culinary background
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in food production and menu development
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during peak hours
Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
