An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to take the lead within a well-established private members' venue in Greater Manchester. With a busy clubhouse, member dining and a strong calendar of functions and events, this is a varied role offering plenty of scope for an ambitious chef to make their mark.
We are looking for a hands-on kitchen leader who can combine consistently good food with strong commercial and operational management. You will have the freedom to develop menus, strengthen the food offering and create a kitchen culture built around quality, consistency and teamwork.
This role does not provide accommodation; you must be able to relocate or commute reliably.

Head Chef Ideal Profile:- An experienced Head Chef or strong senior kitchen leader ready to take full ownership of a diverse catering operation
- A hands-on and approachable leader with the ability to motivate, train and develop a reliable kitchen team
- Strong experience producing fresh, high-quality food across restaurant service, functions, events and larger group dining
- Commercially minded with a good understanding of food GP, labour costs, purchasing, portion control and waste management
- Confident developing seasonal menus that balance quality, member expectations, operational practicality and profitability
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across both kitchen and front of house team
- Lead the day-to-day kitchen operation, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service
- Develop and evolve menus across member dining, functions, events and private celebrations while introducing fresh ideas to the food offering
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade, creating a positive and professional working environment
- Take responsibility for food costs, GP, stock management, purchasing, supplier relationships and waste reduction
- Plan effectively for functions and busy periods, ensuring the kitchen is organised, appropriately staffed and prepared to deliver smooth service
- Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and compliance while working closely with the wider management and front of house teams
