Job Description
Are you a passionate and experienced chef ready to take the next step in your culinary career? We're looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Wild Rose Holiday Park, near Appleby, delivering delicious, family-friendly meals in a fun and fast-paced holiday environment.
The Role:
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. From breakfast service to evening meals, you'll create memorable holiday dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food
Plan and develop seasonal menus with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Ensure all food hygiene and health & safety standards are met (e.g. HACCP, COSHH)
Stock ordering, inventory management, and budget control
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
Collaborate with park management to deliver great guest experiences
About You:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Passionate about great food and excellent service
Experience managing kitchen budgets and food GP
Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
