Job Description
CARRIAGES KILMACOLM is looking for a HEAD CHEF with a full gratuity share and the option to join the company Pension Scheme.
Duties:
- Managing all aspects of the kitchen operations
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the Executive chef to develop new menu items and specials
- Assist with menu planning, costing, and pricing
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Head chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
