We're currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to work across HSE hospitals, nursing homes, disability services and community settings in Limerick.

The Role

Duties vary depending on your placement, but typically include:

• Assisting patients and residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming
• Supporting individuals with mobility and safe transfers using appropriate equipment
• Helping with meals, hydration and other daily living activities
• Monitoring and reporting changes in a patient's condition to nursing staff
• Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Working closely with nurses and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
• Promoting dignity, independence and respect for every patient

What We're Looking For

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 6 months' relevant healthcare experience
• Right to live and work in Ireland
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional attitude
• Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team

Occupational Health Requirements

To work in HSE facilities, you'll need evidence of the following vaccinations or immunity:

• Tuberculosis (TB): BCG vaccination, a visible BCG scar, or a positive TB/Mantoux test
• Hepatitis B: blood test confirming immunity
• MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella): two vaccinations or a blood test confirming immunity
• Chickenpox (Varicella): previous infection, two vaccinations, or a blood test confirming immunity
