Fixed Term Contract - Handy Person. Lewisham
Hourly Rate: £14.50 (plus holiday pay, circa £17.50 per hour in total)
Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. 20 hours per week
Contract Duration: This is a 2 month, fixed term contract.

Our Handy PersonPlays a critical role during the required months, restoring, improving and maintaining our buildings to pristine conditions ahead of our next intake of Students.
- Basic plumbing, such as repairing leaks, replacing bathrooms fixtures.
- Basic electrical duties, such as replacing light fittings and electrical sockets.
- Painting & decorating.
- Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and performing scheduled maintenance tasks
- General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
- Performing minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.
- Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass-cutting & hedge-trimming/shaping.
- Safety compliance. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.
- Minimum of 1 year basic plumbing
- Minimum of 1 year basic electrical
- Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions including painting & decorating
- Well-versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.
- Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures.
- IT literate

- Excellent communication skills. English will be the primary spoken language; however multi-lingual skills would be warmly welcomed.
