Join Our Team as a Health & Safety Compliance Administrator!

Our client is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Compliance Administrator for a temporary role that offers a peripatetic work style, including a company vehicle for travel throughout the North West.
What You'll Do:
In this vital role, you will be the single point of contact for technical support across the zone, ensuring all statutory documentation is in place and staff are fully trained and competent. Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Documentation: Oversee all substation statutory documentation, including Emergency Files, Fire Risk Assessments, and Environmental Plans.
- Fleet Administration: Administer the commercial/site vehicle fleet and serve as the point of contact for our fleet provider.
- Compliance Checks: Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with all statutory documentation.
- Zonal Engagement: Attend zonal working groups on topics like Working at Heights and PPE to drive safety initiatives.
- Action Tracking: Keep track of all zonal actions to ensure timely closure of audits and other compliance activities.
- Lead Initiatives: Take charge of zonal initiatives like Health and Wellbeing or Employee Engagement.
- Technical Secretary Duties: Act as Technical Secretary for Medium Level Investigations, including report writing.
- Training Coordination: Manage and coordinate all zonal training requirements.
- Access Management: Control substation access requests and manage the issuance of access keys.
- Calibration Management: Ensure all test equipment and tools comply with NG procedures.
- PAT Testing Coordination: Oversee the PAT testing of electrical equipment in the zone.
What We're Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in substation maintenance (preferred).
- A strong understanding of safety management systems within the utilities sector.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills to effectively manage and disseminate critical information.
- The ability to adapt and meet the varying needs of the management team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software programmes.
- A NEBOSH General Certificate is highly desirable.
