The opportunity

This role provides technical, project, and systems accounting support across IAG Loyalty's Group reporting function. It focuses on ad-hoc financial and technical projects, enhancing financial systems, ensuring robust accounting practices, and supporting group reporting processes.

The role requires an in-depth understanding of financial accounting across IAG Loyalty entities to ensure accurate reporting.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the accounting treatment of customer contracts, including developing models to recognize revenue accurately in line with IFRS 15.
• Enhance the financial systems environment, identifying opportunities for automation, data integration, or system upgrades.
• Drive adoption of new tools or technologies for financial reporting and analysis.
• Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support business decisions or emerging needs.
• Review subsidiary accounting practices for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with group policies and IFRS standards.
• Support subsidiary finance teams in addressing accounting issues and process improvements.
• Assist the Group reporting team in preparing quarterly and annual reports, including consolidation, data validation, and resolving accounting queries.

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP) and automation.
• Systems implementation experience is desirable.
• Track record of process improvements.
