Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Job Overview:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader and 1x operative to join our growing team! Ideally based within North Kent area to service the south region. Daily visits to the yard based in Aveley required . The position will be on a self-employed basis.

The candidates will need to be based in a similar area to enable the driver of the team to pick up their team mate each morning, before heading off to sites. Hours 7.30am-4pm onsite.

You will be responsible for the routine completion of maintenance rounds for sites across the southern sector of our works which include London and surrounding areas, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire.

Responsibilities :

General works include mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, weeding, pruning, litter picking, planting and watering.
For the Team Leader - Organizing daily work assignments, prioritizing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
Ensuring high quality works in line with the relevant H&S protocols.
Conducting regular inspections during routine visits to identify additional works/issues to be rectified promptly.
Completing daily visit sign off reports
Promoting a culture of diversity, equality and inclusion within the team and fostering a positive work environment for all team members.

Experience :

Team Leader - Previous experience in Grounds Maintenance preferably within commercial sector, with demonstrated leadership skills is a must.
Strong communication and people skills.
A good knowledge of maintaining equipment and safety procedures
Flexibility to travel, to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
Full UK driving licence (essential)
CSCS card (preferable)
PA1/PA6&aw (essential)
LANTRA LISS/CSCS Litter Picking and Environmental Maintenance (preferable)
Identification of Invasive species
Enhanced DBS
SSSTS (preferable)
