Grounds Maintenance Team Leader - Croydon

A vacancy has arisen at our newly acquired Croydon Housing Contract for a Team Leader position. This post will report to the Service Delivery Manager and will have responsibility for leading and managing teams of horticultural and ground maintenance operatives.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST:

The main purpose of this post is to ensure a fully integrated approach to the delivery of all aspects of day-to-day operations in accordance with the Croydon Housing grounds maintenance contract specifications, including managing a small team of operatives, vehicle/plant/equipment inspections, allocation of GM tasks and all health and safety matters.

The post will also involve leading and managing operatives who undertake overall maintenance of the different elements of the contract, ensuring effective delivery of high-quality services and efficient working practices. Additionally, monitoring overall performance of the grounds maintenance allocated team to ensure client specifications and standards are met.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Lead and manage teams of horticultural and ground maintenance operatives
• Manage day-to-day operations in accordance with the Croydon Housing grounds maintenance contract specifications
• Ensure effective delivery of high-quality services and efficient working practices
• Monitor overall performance of the grounds maintenance allocated team

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance
• 1 year of experience in team leadership
• Driving Licence

Preferred Qualifications:

• NPTC PA1 PA6
• RHS 1/2
• NVQ level 1 / 2 Horticulture
