Job Description
JOB TITLE: Process Operator (Granulation)
SITE LOCATION: Telford
HOURS OF WORK:19:00 - 7:00 (4 on 4 off) NIGHTS
REPORTS TO - Mixing Plant Recycling Supervisor
Job Purpose: The Process Operator (Granulation) will be responsible for the monitoring of the granulation processes ensuring the machine is fed with scrap bar length material in line with standard operating procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
- Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
- Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
- Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
- Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
- Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
- Carry our relevant checks on assigned bar length scrap before and whilst loading the machine.
- Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product/contamination.
- Communicate information via the relevant communication channels.
- Record all required information for all operations as per company works instructions/procedures.
- Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
- Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Extrusion managers and the training plan.
- Safeguard property issued by the company.
- Shutdown Granulation machine (include emergency shutdown).
- Ensure workplace is clean and tidy - all housekeeping procedures followed associated with tasks.
- Low level maintenance tasks when required.
- Transfer the knowledge and skills among the team (others).
Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Good ability with Microsoft software.
Performance Measures:
- Development of skills and competence in line with the training plan.
- Maintain machine output at predefined operational targets.

- Clean, neat and tidy approach to work.
- Punctual and adaptable.
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a larger team.
