Programme Overview

Protocol Education is recruiting graduates into the Future Teachers Programme to develop into a post University teaching career. Applicants will receive practical experience before enrolling in formal teacher training.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover lessons as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school in Bath/NE Somerset.
• Supervise the class while teachers complete tasks set by the absent teacher.
• Ensure a high quality learning experience for students without engaging in active teaching, marking or planning.
• Keep a daily journal of your experience.
• Observe lessons across subjects to develop a broad understanding of teaching styles and methods.
• Discover and support effective differentiation, behaviour management, non subject activities such as registration and assemblies.
• Assist pastoral systems to aid pupil development.
• Learn school policies and their purposes.
• Learn the syllabus in your subject area and present findings to the school.
• Support pupils through coursework and examination preparation.

Qualifications

• Graduates with any undergraduate degree.
• Appropriate qualifications and training required; see site FAQ for details.
