Role overview

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across the classroom, working with students both academically and pastorally. You will gain insight into classroom practice, behaviour management and SEND support.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, psychologists or anyone looking to build a career in education.

Key responsibilities

• Support students within the classroom across different subjects
• Provide targeted academic support and interventions
• Assist pupils with SEND to access learning
• Support behaviour management and engagement
• Work closely with teachers and support staff
• Build positive relationships with students

Requirements

• A degree in any subject
• Interest in education or working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
