The OpportunityAs a Graduate EIA Consultant, you will contribute across the full lifecycle of environmental projects-from early strategy and feasibility through to detailed design, consenting, construction, and operational stages.
You will work alongside experienced planners, environmental specialists, designers and technical teams across a wide range of disciplines, including Planning, EIA, Landscape, Ecology, Archaeology, Heritage, Architecture, Masterplanning and Urban Design.
Key Responsibilities Project Support & Coordination- Assist in coordinating EIA projects alongside technical specialists.
- Support the preparation of project plans, timelines and documentation.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Carry out background research on environmental topics, planning policy and local requirements.
- Assist with EIA scoping to identify potential environmental impacts.
- Support baseline data collection through desk studies and occasional field visits.
- Contribute to Environmental Statements, Screening Reports, Scoping Reports and planning documents.
- Review and summarise technical input from specialist teams.
- Ensure written outputs are clear, accurate and well structured.
- Help prepare consultation materials such as presentations, briefings and summary documents.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in an environmental discipline (or working towards).
- Understanding of EIA Regulations and the UK planning system.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for business development and industry engagement.
- Competent in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe and GIS desirable.
- Strong time-management skills and a commitment to high-quality written work.
- Graphics and report-presentation skills advantageous.
