A caring primary school in Gateshead is looking for a Graduate Behaviour Support Assistant to help pupils who need extra encouragement with behaviour and emotional regulation.
This school focuses strongly on pupil wellbeing and creating a calm, supportive learning environment.
About the roleYou'll work alongside teachers and support staff to help pupils build confidence, manage emotions and stay engaged in learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils who need help managing behaviour
Providing one-to-one or small group support
Encouraging positive routines and classroom engagement
Helping pupils build confidence and resilience
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
Every day will be different, but your support will make a real difference.
About youThis role is perfect for graduates interested in psychology, youth work or education.

Calm, patient and understanding
Interested in behaviour support or SEMH
Confident communicating with children
Positive, proactive and reliable
Motivated to help pupils succeed
You'll receive ongoing support and training including:
Behaviour management techniques
