Graduate Academic Mentor
September 2026 to July 2027
£85 - £101 per day
Secondary School based in Willenhall
1:1 and small-group academic support for SEN students

The Role:
As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEN. You will help pupils understand lesson content, complete classwork and develop the confidence to work more independently. Working closely with teachers and the SEN team, you will adapt activities and offer encouragement throughout the school day.

The Candidate:
This role will suit a patient, reliable graduate who can build strong relationships with young people. You should be able to explain learning clearly, remain calm when pupils need extra support and take a positive, flexible approach to the classroom.

Requirements
- 2:2 degree or above in any subject.
- A genuine interest in supporting students with SEN.
- Strong communication skills and a patient approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

The School:
This secondary school in Willenhall offers a supportive setting for graduates to develop their classroom experience. You will work alongside experienced teachers and SEN staff while helping students make meaningful academic progress, which remains oddly more valuable than most spreadsheet-based corporate rituals.
