Graduate Academic Coach
Could you provide the focused support one student needs to feel more confident and achieve more in school? Are you looking for meaningful secondary school experience before moving into educational or clinical psychology?
Graduate Academic Coach
September 2026 to July 2027
£85 - £101 per day
Location - secondary school, Wolverhampton
Support academic achievement to a student with Autism
The Role:
Provide dedicated academic support for a student with Autism across the school day. You will work on a 1:1 basis to help the pupil stay engaged in lessons, follow routines, break work into manageable steps, and access learning more confidently. You will also work closely with teachers and wider staff to support progress and help the student achieve more consistently across the academic year.
The Candidate:
You are calm, observant, and able to build trust through consistency and clear communication. You want practical school-based experience, you can stay patient in a busy secondary setting, and you are interested in how focused support helps a young person with additional needs feel secure and make progress.
Requirements
• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children - Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals - A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.
