Job Description

Our client is a prominent environmental company who offer a variety of HVAC and water treatment services to clients across the UK. They are now looking for an experienced and hard-working Commissioning Engineer based in and around the Newcastle area. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out validations and balancing of air and water systems on a variety of contract types. Ideally the successful candidate will be CSA grade 3 or higher. Applications from Tyne & Wear, Durham, Teeside, North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:
  • Must have experience in inspecting and balancing air and water systems
  • Must have experience carrying out validations on air and water systems.
  • Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems is essential.
  • Proven ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports in order to commission system correctly.
  • Must have a good water treatment, chemical, technical and maintenance background.
  • Must be fully conversant in relevant health and safety and compliance legislation specifically HTM-0301 guidelines.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft office package.
  • A good working knowledge of the water industry.
  • Experience working in a water treatment commissioning role within the water treatment industry essential.
Responsibilities within the Role:
  • Carrying out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection and validations.
  • Calibrating equipment to accurately balance water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
  • Carry out service work strictly in-keeping with client's specifications.
  • Conduct training of staff when required.
  • Inspecting project installs when required.
  • Produce reports and prepare quotations.
  • Undertaking some water treatment duties to suit business needs.
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with the company's clients.
