Position Overview

Join the Governing Board of Nottingham College as a non executive Governor. The role involves providing strong governance and strategic oversight, supporting the college's mission and strategic priorities, and contributing to the future of further education in Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend board meetings (five times per year) and provide strategic direction.
• Participate in at least one board committee: Audit; Finance & Assets; Governance & Search; Learning & Quality; or Remuneration.
• Support the CEO, Principal and executive team in performance monitoring and long term planning.
• Advise on safeguarding, inclusion, and strategic resource investment.

Candidate Profile

• Strategic leadership experience in finance, people & culture, local business/industry, SEND, inclusion, or safeguarding.
• Strong judgement, professionalism, and a genuine ambition for the college and its community.
• Willingness to commit time for board meetings, committee work, and development sessions.
