OVERVIEW The University of Sheffield is seeking a Global Opportunities Coordinator to join the Global Opportunities team within the Careers & Employability Service. This role supports more than 1,000 inbound and outbound students participating in international mobility opportunities each year through a network of over 200 partner institutions worldwide. The position focuses on supporting study abroad activity, managing operational processes, and advising students, university staff, and international partners within a higher education environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support inbound and outbound students undertaking international mobility opportunities
• Manage grant funding and partnership agreements
• Support study abroad and short-term abroad experiences
• Coordinate budgets and reporting activities
• Advise exchange students on international opportunities and processes
• Work with international partners and university staff across programmes
• Contribute to the work of the Global Opportunities team within the Careers & Employability Service

Requirements

• Experience in higher education or a related field
• Understanding of international higher education
• Understanding of intercultural skills
