Job Description
Role Overview

The Global Mobility team is hiring an Assistant Manager to join its growing practice in Reading. The role offers strong advisory exposure, working closely with corporate clients and senior stakeholders on complex cross-border mobility matters.

Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Relationships
  • Serves as a primary contact for clients, delivering tailored, practical tax advice
  • Builds long-term relationships with corporate clients and their globally mobile workforce
Technical Advisory
  • Prepares and reviews complex cross-border tax and social security advice
  • Interprets regulatory changes and guides clients through evolving tax landscapes
Project Ownership & Leadership
  • Leads engagements end-to-end, ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Oversees and develops junior team members
Senior Stakeholder Exposure
  • Supports and attends client meetings with Partners/Directors
  • Advises senior leaders and executives on mobility-related tax matters
Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Work
  • Works closely with personal tax, employment tax, immigration, and reward specialists
  • Delivers holistic, integrated advisory solutions
Business Development & Innovation
  • Contributes to winning new work and expanding client relationships
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage technology in mobility advisory
Skills & Experience
  • Expatriate tax advisory experience with solid technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional qualification required (ATT / ACA / CA / ACCA / CTA)
