Global IT Technology Operations Director

Trivium Packaging is seeking a highly experienced Global IT Technology Operations Director to lead the global operational and strategic IT landscape, with a strong focus on SAP, enterprise applications, and modern cloud-based technology platforms.

In this critical leadership role, you will manage the Global Applications & Data Solutions team and take ownership of the stability, reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of the company's core business applications, including its global SAP ecosystem.

You will collaborate closely with Business Technology teams, Infrastructure, and multiple Centers of Excellence across Data, AI, and Software Development. The successful candidate will translate strategic ambitions into operational execution while driving a culture of ownership, transparency, innovation, and operational excellence across the organization.

Given the business-critical nature of the SAP environment, deep expertise in SAP operations, support processes, vendor management, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Lead global Technology Operations teams supporting enterprise applications and SAP platforms.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) standards and best practices.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence across the application landscape.
• Build and optimize scalable support models, including nearshore/offshore delivery capabilities.

Strategic Technology Enablement

• Drive digital adoption initiatives across AI, Data, Automation, and emerging technologies.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a strategic partner to both business and technology stakeholders globally.

Architecture & Platform Management

• Oversee theorganization's technical backbone, including:
  • SAP platforms
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • API management & integrations
  • Data & AI solutions
  • OT environments
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and long-term technology strategy.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Own and manage strategic relationships with SAP and other enterprise technology vendors.
• Ensure delivery quality, governance, SLA management, accountability, and alignment with business priorities.
• Support integration and carve-out activities related to international M&A initiatives.

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Ensure all technology solutions comply with:
  • Information Security standards
  • GDPR & Data Governance policies
  • IT Controls Framework
  • Enterprise Architecture principles

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior IT leadership roles within Technology Operations, Support, or Application Lifecycle Management environments.
• Proven experience managing complex enterprise application landscapes in global organizations.
• Deep understanding of SAP technology platforms and SAP support processes.
• Strong experience managing SAP as a strategic vendor and partner ecosystem.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities combined with a hands-on and pragmatic mindset.
• Experience working in international Matrix organizations and transformation programs.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
