Join our global Clinical Sciences and Operation (CSO)'s Trial Operation function as a Vendor Manager for the Vaccines Global Business Unit (GBU) and you'll have a key operational role supporting GSMs serving as a key point of contact to support initiation/start-up activities with our key vendors. The role will be a critical member working closely with our strategic vendors from start-up, throughout the entire lifecycle of the clinical trial to close-out. The Vendor Manager will be the first line of contact for all study matters including vendor escalation and troubleshooting to resolve technical and operational challenges while closely monitoring timelines with the GSMs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Serve as Technical expert to Trial Operations for Full Study Outsourcing (FSO) vendor selection, budget and timeline estimates supporting
  • First line of contact for all vendor escalation matters working closely with GSMs at main sites
  • Support translation of the protocol requirements into vendor technical specifications; liaise / initiate with procurement the vendor proposal, budget and contract and provide recommendations to finalize vendor selection
  • Evaluate vendor compliance, manage budget revisions throughout study
  • Serve as escalation point of contact for vendor issues escalation. Track corrective actions in relation to issues and audit findings
  • Provide analysis and reporting of cross-project trends, issues and risks
  • Propose solutions to enhance and optimize the operating models and/or processes with the vendors
  • Assess improvements opportunities transversally
  • Design, maintain, improve and deploy FSO documentation packages and ways of working
  • Measure progress made against projects, services to reach study and global service goals
  • Coordinate the operational aspects of the contracting process to ensure contracts for all activities outsourced (FSO
  • Collaboration with various functions within and outside Vaccine GBU : Trial Operations, Clinical Supply Chain, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, Procurement, and Finance
  • Ensure tracking of contracts, and invoicing, statuses and budget spent relative to overall budget for each contract and project
  • Initiate / Draft contracts with support from legal, clinical team and procurement and support execution on-time
  • Anticipate contracting needs from start-up through life cycle management including amendments (where needed)
  • Train clinical teams on FSO/PSO models and ways of working

About you

Experience :

  • 5+ years experience in the pharmaceutical/CRO industry in trial operations
  • High level of clinical trials operations experience including overseeing vendors, or experience in following roles: clinical study managers, trial managers, clinical project managers, outsourcing specialists and/ or extensive procurement experience
  • Associate or Global Study Managers, Trial Operations Team Leaders, Group Leaders, Study Data Managers outsourcing, finance knowledge or experience
  • Knowledge of GCP - ICH guidelines

Technical skills :

  • MS Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint & SharePoint
  • Procurement e-buy, electronic purchasing or similar is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided

Education :

  • Minimum BSc in Life Sciences (or equivalent)

Languages :

  • Strong English skills (verbal and written), ability to exchange fluently in a global environment
