Our Fund Financing business is a key part of our private markets ecosystem, providing innovative fund-level financing solutions such as capital call/subscription facilities, asset-based loans collateralized by fund assets (including Private Equity, Private Credit, Infra, and other illiquid collateral), hybrid facilities, single asset solutions, CV financings, and GP solutions including rated feeders / CFOs, and USPP issuance.

Our global Fund Finance team operates across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia, with members in London, New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Bengaluru. We collaborate closely with Goldman Sachs' Global Banking and Asset & Wealth Management divisions. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our EMEA team based in London.

The Fund Finance business is part of the newly established Capital Solutions Group, offering the candidate a chance to work alongside the investing team and gain exposure to GS's full spectrum of Fund Financing solutions.

As an Associate in the Fund Finance Origination and Capital Markets team, you will drive the execution of financings throughout the fund lifecycle. You will collaborate with senior originators and work on private equity, secondaries, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure clients. Your role includes origination, execution of structured advisory transactions (including CFOs), and interaction with other teams within the Capital Solutions Group such as Hedging and M&A. Your key responsibilities include:

• Client Engagement: Contributing to origination and coverage efforts for private markets clients, prospecting new clients, and managing existing relationships.
• Transaction Execution: Leading deal processes internally and externally, ensuring smooth coordination and execution.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Managing relationships with legal, KYC, structuring, and execution teams, and maintaining the Borrower experience.
• Structuring & Innovation: Applying your structuring experience to facilitate deal underwriting and develop innovative client solutions.

We seek a proactive professional with a solid understanding of fund finance and secured lending principles. Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience: 3+ years in lending, underwriting, credit, or portfolio management with a strong foundation in Fund Finance.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, proactive teamwork, and client service orientation.
• Financial Acumen: Knowledge of financial accounting, analysis, secured lending principles, and fund/waterfall modeling.
• Market Understanding: Familiarity with legal structures and documents of private investment funds and related risks.
• Project Management: Proven skills in managing fund finance transactions and projects.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
