We are seeking a GIS Technician to support a busy Highways maintenance team in Manchester.

Responsibilities:

• Production of maps and plans for highways maintenance schemes using QGIS
• Automation of workflows using FME software
• Site visits - mapping
• Keep the GIS database up-to-date with the location, type, and condition of highway assets.
• Input new survey data (from inspections, contractors, or mobile mapping tools).
• Cross-check and verify data against site plans, as-builts, or field reports.
• Proficiency in QGIS
• Familiar with construction practices, highways exp is beneficial
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally for site visits

The GIS Technician should be suitably qualified with relevant experience.

The role will be based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement after a settling in period.
