Girls' PE Teacher - Inspire Sport, Teamwork & Wellness

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Girls' Physical Education to join a successful and inclusive secondary school in Wakefield, starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time role, though the school is open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate. The position is offered on a long-term supply basis, with pay in line with teacher pay scales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Promote participation, teamwork, and a positive sporting attitude among all students
- Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Proven experience of teaching Physical Education within a secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and effective teaching practices
- Two recent education or school-based references
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and high achievement through sport
