Get Into Teaching - Graduate Teaching Assistant

North West London £95 - £115 per day Full-Time September 2026 Start

Thinking About Becoming a Teacher? Start Here.

Every year, graduates tell us the same thing:

"I know I want to teach, but I need the right school to learn, develop and gain real classroom experience first."

If that sounds like you, this could be exactly the opportunity you've been looking for.

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a highly successful and supportive primary school in North West London seeking a bright, enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them from September.

This is an ideal role for graduates considering teacher training in 2026 or beyond and looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before taking the next step.

Unlike many Teaching Assistant positions, this role offers genuine opportunities to develop your classroom practice, work alongside experienced teachers and gain exposure to all aspects of school life.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will become a valued member of the school community and play an active role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase.

You will:

Support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

Work alongside experienced class teachers and senior leaders

Deliver small group interventions in English and Maths

Support pupils with varying learning needs

Help prepare engaging learning activities

Build confidence leading small groups and parts of lessons

Develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills

Gain first-hand insight into the teaching profession

This is the perfect stepping stone for graduates who want to move beyond observation and gain practical classroom experience.

Why This School?

Not all schools are equal when it comes to developing future teachers.

This school has created a culture where aspiring educators are supported, challenged and encouraged to grow professionally.

You'll be joining a team that believes in investing in people and providing opportunities for talented graduates to develop their skills and confidence within the classroom.

The leadership team understands the journey into teaching and provides the guidance, mentoring and exposure needed to make an informed decision about your future career.

Who Would Suit This Role?

This opportunity is ideal for:

  • Recent graduates considering teacher training
  • Aspiring primary teachers
  • Psychology graduates interested in child development
  • Education Studies graduates
  • Graduates with experience working with children
  • Individuals looking to build classroom confidence before applying for teacher training

You will need:

A genuine passion for education

Strong communication skills

A positive and proactive attitude

The ability to build relationships with children and staff

Enthusiasm, resilience and a willingness to learn

What You'll Gain

This role offers much more than classroom experience.

You will develop:

Classroom management skills

Lesson delivery experience

Intervention and assessment knowledge

Behaviour management techniques

An understanding of curriculum delivery

Professional references for future teacher training applications

A realistic and valuable insight into life as a teacher
