Get Going Get Rowing Leinster Coordinator

Rowing Ireland, the national governing body for the sport in Ireland, is seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to coordinate the delivery and development of the Get Going Get Rowing programme across Leinster.
The Leinster Coordinator will continue the management of our very successful school and community programmes, recruit and support coaches and volunteers, organise events and camps, and maintain and expand strong relationships with schools, rowing clubs and Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs). This is a full time role with occasional evening and weekend hours required.
The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, along with a passion for increasing participation in rowing and commitment to delivering high quality programmes. The successful candidate will be a self starter capable of working independently and as part of a small team. All candidates must have existing valid permission to live and work in Ireland unrestricted.
Key Responsibilities Programme CoordinationCoordinate and manage all aspects of the Get Rowing schools programme across Leinster.
Manage school bookings, scheduling and programme delivery.
Manage community coaches including weekly roster, training, safeguarding and invoicing.
Manage TY Coaches and their opportunities for training and volunteering throughout their programme year.
Coordinate indoor rowing and on the water sessions.
Maintain communication with schools, clubs and programme partners.
Ensure all programme administration, reporting and records are maintained.
Expand Get Rowing throughout Leinster.
Maintain Get Rowing equipment (ergs, boats, oars, lifejackets, adaptive equipment) and keep accurate records of equipment usage and locations.
Organise transport and logistics for equipment and events.
Ensure all safety equipment is available and maintained.
Recruit, schedule and support community coaches and TY coaches.
Support coach development and ensure safeguarding, vetting and training qualifications are up to date.
Review coach timesheets and assist with financial administration needs.
Organise and deliver minimum 4 school blitz events and minimum 10 weeks of summer camps.
Coordinate venues, staffing, equipment and event logistics.
Promote programmes and events through schools, social media and partner networks.
Maintain relationships with schools, rowing clubs and Local Sports Partnerships.
Complete programme reports and support monitoring and evaluation requirements.
Assist in identifying opportunities to grow participation across the region.
Ensure a high standard of safety and safeguarding across all programmes.
Monitor on the water conditions and support safe programme delivery.
Following Rowing Ireland branding guidelines, market the Get Rowing programme on social media channels and the Word Press based website.
Liaise with the Rowing Ireland Communications Department to further the reach of marketing efforts.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Experience coordinating programmes, events or sports activities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
Experience working with young people and/or in sport settings.
Competent administrative and IT skills.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel.
Rowing or sports coaching experience.
Rowing Ireland Introduction to Coaching and Level 1 Coaching Certificates.
Experience working with schools, clubs or Local Sports Partnerships.
First Aid qualification.
Full clean driving licence and access to own car.
The role may require evening and weekend work. Garda Vetting, Child Safeguarding and Rowing Ireland Coaching requirements will apply.
