German Speaking Qualified Accountant

A London market insurance business is recruiting for a German-speaking qualified accountant.

Reporting to the International Finance Director, you will be responsible for all accounting-related matters for the German branch, including (but not limited to):

1. Reporting under German GAAP
2. Managing outsourced service providers based in Germany
3. Cashflow and P&L reporting
4. Working with auditors at quarter-end and year-end
5. Process documentation and improvement work
6. Interpreting German-related accounting standards and requirements

Candidates do not need previous insurance accounting experience, as full training on insurance technicalities will be provided. However, candidates must be fully qualified accountants and speak German fluently.

This role is based in London City, requiring three days a week in the office, with some travel to Germany.
