Position OverviewDue to continued business growth across Ireland and Europe, we are currently recruiting Geospatial Engineers to join our Geospatial Engineering Department on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Department, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Geospatial Engineer to lead key projects across Ireland and Europe, ensuring positive outcomes for clients and the business alike.
What You Will Do- Staking/Setting-out for different trades in construction.
- Prepare and analyse data for set-out.
- Utilise modern survey methods and survey devices such as Total Stations, GPS and Data Collectors.
- Perform detailed field and office surveying work.
- Utilisation of post processing software such as AutoCAD, StarNet and 12d Model.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and various stakeholders, ensuring we deliver projects to exact customer requirements.
- Any other duties as required by the business.
- Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering) and/or relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required.
- Understand scopes of work and project requirements.
- Have strong knowledge of current CAD technology.
- Experience working in infrastructure and construction.
- Experience with HD Laser Scanning technology and software (desired but not essential).
- Experience with machine control (desired but not essential).
- Understanding of BIM workflows and experience with digital collaboration tools (desired but not essential).
- Possess a full Irish or EU driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide & European-wide as required by our clients.
- The right to work in the EU.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and to develop new applications and projects, as well as working within an existing team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and achieve critical deadlines
- Willingness to develop skills and knowledgebase.
- A flexible, positive attitude towards work and be a team player
- Enthusiastic and structured approach to planning with good problem solving abilities
