General Science Teacher

Overview

General Science Teacher - Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Felxistowe and the surrounding areas, delivering high-quality learning experiences across the Science curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics following provided plans
• Teach practical and theory-based content safely and effectively
• Support students in developing scientific understanding and investigative skills
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Assess and record pupil progress when required
• Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with a range of needs
• Contribute to department planning during longer-term placements

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners across various year groups
• Adaptable across different school environments
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
