Job Description
General Practitioner (ARRS Reimbursement Scheme) Trinity PCN

In this role, you will join a collaborative team delivering high-quality care across a network of practices, supported by experienced clinical and operational colleagues.

Working within the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, build strong relationships with patients and multidisciplinary teams, and make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of local communities.

Main duties of the job

As a General Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population, managing a wide range of acute and long-term health conditions. Your role will include face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits where appropriate, prescribing, developing personalised care plans, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and service development, while playing an active role within a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, effective and compassionate healthcare.

The salary for this role is £82,979 WTE, subject to the postholder being able to work independently, supervise staff and students, and undertake on-call duties as required by the practice/PCN.

Trinity Health Group is a PCN made up of four practices on the west of the district (Trinity Medical Centre, Maybush Medical Centre, Crofton and Sharlston Medical Practice and Warrengate Medical Centre). The PCN team currently consists of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Paramedics, Mental Health Practitioners, Care Coordinators, Health & Wellbeing Coaches, GPAs and Social Prescribing Link Workers. Person Specification Knowledge and Understanding
  • Understanding the role of medical services in a wider public health agenda
  • Knowledge of the demographic characteristics that affect health and health care in the area
  • Understanding current NHS policies
Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full registration with GMC
  • Certification of Completion of Training (JCPTGP/PMETB)
  • Inclusion on Performers List
  • MRCGP
  • Evidence of a commitment to on-going personal & professional development
Experience
  • Experience of working in primary care in an area with significant health problems
  • Experience of providing primary care in and out of hours
  • Development of areas of clinical expertise
  • Experience of audit and improving care for patients

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbally.
  • Good organisational skills
