General Operative (Cork)

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic General Operatives to join our expanding team in Cork.

This role will involve the use of machinery and equipment and will include physical exertion (manual handling etc.) on a daily basis.

Position: General Operative (Maintenance Department)

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Location: Cork

This job description outlines some of the duties and responsibilities that are associated with your role but it is by no means an exhaustive list and may be amended as the management of the company directs.

Duties Include:

• Lawn care - mowing, strimming and edging.
• Shrub and hedge pruning and maintenance.
• Tree maintenance.
• Weed control and herbicide application.
• Litter and debris collection.
• Seeding and turfing of lawns.
• Paving/light civil works.
• Tree and shrub planting.
• Ad hoc duties.

Responsibilities:

• Adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
• Adhering to clients site rules and regulations in general and in relation to Health and Safety.
• Follow instructions provided by management and your site Team leader.
• Work as part of a team to ensure quality of work is delivered to an excellent standard.
• Work completed is carried out in an efficient and timely manner.

Package:

• €15.00 per hour (DOE)

Requirements:

• Valid Safe Pass - Essential
• Provisional / Full Driving Licence - Preferred
• B+E Licence / Tractor Experience is an advantage
• Previous experience / knowledge in similar industry desirable.
