JOB PURPOSE:

This Job Description is intended as a guide to the type of role the job holder is expected to perform. As the nature of our business can vary with changes in customer requirements and operating procedures the following tasks are the key duties of the role, but it is understood that the job holder will undertake any function in which he/she is adequately trained or competent. If in time significant changes to the role are experienced a new Job Description will be issued.

The job holder will assist with the production of printed leaflets and booklets within agreed quality standards as specified by the Customer and in compliance with ISO and PS9000 Quality standards and the OHSAS18001 H&S standard.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Health and safety

• To work in a safe manner adhering to laid down health and safety procedures.
• To report all accidents and dangerous occurrences or near misses to management.

Quality / Production

• To comply with current systems of working including established shift patterns.
• To understand and correctly interpret work instructions on VWT.
• To achieve daily/weekly production targets ensuring product is shipped on time, in full and meeting quality standards.
• Accurate reporting of all production figures (SFDC, VWT, etc) as required.
• To achieve established quality standards working within the guidelines outlined in the established quality systems complying with ISO9001 and PS 9000 quality standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in production.
• Undertake all duties in accordance with current operating procedures and quality policies. The job holder should ensure that they are aware and understand all such policies and procedures.

Maintenance

• To assist in the cleaning of all machinery and equipment in line with established planned maintenance programmes and keep work area clean and tidy ensuring that the highest standards of housekeeping are always maintained.

QUALIFICATONS:

Educational and professional:

• Leaving Certificate
• Mechanical Qualification an advantage

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

• Ideally, experience of working to ISO 9001.
• Flexible to work shifts
• Ability to examine leaflets/booklets to a high quality standard is essential.
• Mechanical experience an advantage
