General Operative

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturing company in their search for General Operatives to work in their leading facility in Telford.

For the successful General Operatives, our client is offering;

• Three week rotation shift, Monday- Friday 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM rotating weekly
• Temp - Perm position
• Full-time hours
• Training available once perm with the ability to earn an extra 25p per skill you learn
• Overtime opportunities once perm
• Free Parking

The Role - General Operatives:

• Ensuring all booms are free from wire and material is vented correctly prior to loading
• Ensuring the correct amount of wire is used for the weight of the material to be hung when loading
• Ensuring all jigs and booms are loaded to their maximum capacity
• Ensure the finished product is cut from the boom using cutters.
• Using a hand grinder to remove any zinc that remains on the product
• Stacking the material ready for quality checking and despatch
• Using a banding machine to pack material
• Understand it is necessary to load booms as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to
  maximise the throughput of the plant
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as required
• Undertake any in-house or off-site training as and when required.

What our client is looking for in a General Operatives:

• Experience working in a production/ manufacturing environment- ESSENTIAL
• Must have safety shoes
• Must be happy to do manual handling/ heavy lifting at times
