General Operative - Belfast City Centre

5 General Operatives immediately required to work with our client Belfast City Council at various locations around Belfast City Centre.

These are full time, temporary posts, initially required for a 6 month period, with the possibility of extension. Hours of work will be Monday - Thursday 0730 - 1530 and 0730 - 1500 on Friday. Pay rate for these roles will be £13.92 per hour.

The main duties of this role will be to carry out waste collection across public areas, collect and remove refuse and recyclable waste from domestic, commercial and industrial premises, transport and segregate waste for appropriate disposal, including special and recyclable items, undertake street cleansing and environmental improvement duties, including land clearance and street washing and remove graffiti, fly-posters, gum and clean street furniture to maintain public areas.

What We Need From You
- Minimum of 6 months previous experience cleaning outdoor areas
- Must have awareness of health and safety regulations including experience operating equipment and manual handling
- Previous experience interacting with members of the public
