Reporting to the MD of the Specialist Products Division, the Proline General Manager will be an inspiring and results-oriented leader who can guide and grow Proline's dynamic business. You will play a key role in shaping our strategy, nurturing a collaborative team environment, and building strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers and partners. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who is passionate about fostering growth and innovation, while supporting and empowering their team.
Knowledge & Experience- Proven experience in team leadership and people management, with a focus on developing and supporting others
- Proven sales experience in the construction industry or a construction-adjacent business, ideally within the ironmongery sector
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A creative problem-solver with the ability to make sound decisions and think outside the box
- A third-level qualification in Business, Management, or a related field is desirable. This is interchangeable with relevant professional experience.
- Highly organised, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Oversee daily business operations and lead your team, ensuring clear goals and regular feedback to support their growth and success
- Foster a positive, sales-driven culture that values customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with our existing customers, while seeking new opportunities to expand our market presence
- Allocate and manage staff resources flexibly to meet changing needs
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational and sales growth, both within Chadwicks Group and externally
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Collaborate with key suppliers to ensure strong partnerships
- Drive profitability while maintaining healthy margins
- Ensure that health & safety policies and procedures are followed, creating a safe and supportive work environment
