Job Responsibilities

Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory, professional and statutory requirements and achieving business performance targets.

  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality, person centred care based on best practice.
  • Recruiting, retaining and developing staff within the Home.
  • Acting as the focal point for communication with residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals involved in residents' wellbeing.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with occupancy and dependency.
  • Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Managing costs to remain within budgetary controls, including regular review and stock monitoring.
About You

In order to be successful you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all that you do.

  • Minimum of four years' experience in a similar care environment.
  • Leadership and Management Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and competence in IT.
  • Adaptive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
