Description

The General Manager will be based at our client's DC in London and will report in to the Operations Director. You will be responsible for managing and leading a large team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence. Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards across all operations.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet service and delivery expectations.
• Analyse performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
• Lead site growth through collaborative customer partnerships
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage budgets and resources to achieve financial and operational goals

Profile

The successful General Manager will live within a commuting distance of London and be able to demonstrate the following experience:

• Proven site leadership experience within a fast pace and customer led logistics environment.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on delivering developed and engaged high performing teams.
• Excellent organisational and decision-making skills to handle complex operations.
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record in delivering innovative performance improvement.
• Proficiency in analysing data and creating actionable insights to improve performance.
• A thorough understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements in logistics.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Offer

An attractive reward package will be offered to the successful candidate and will include:

• Competitive salary ranging from £90,000 to £110,000 per annum.
