Job Title: General Manager - Contract Catering

Location: Cork

Salary: €55,000 per annum

Overview

The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the Contract Catering industry to recruit a General Manager for a key site in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven hospitality professional to oversee operations across two cafés and one retail outlet within a busy hospital environment.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all catering and retail operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and compliance. You will lead a team of approximately 25 staff, fostering a positive and performance-driven culture while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily operations across cafés and retail units within the hospital.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of 25 staff to deliver exceptional service standards.
  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and ensure contract standards are consistently met.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through operational excellence and innovation.
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and initiatives effectively on site.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and process improvement.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a General Manager, Catering Manager, or Multi-site Manager role within contract catering, hospitality, or retail.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proven financial acumen with experience in budgeting and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
  • A proactive and hands on management approach.
  • Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Visa or relocation packages are not provided.
