General Manager - Commercial Laundry Operations

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary: Competitive + Company Car + Bonus

We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead our Crawley operation. This is a significant leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high performing teams and delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring strong financial performance.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will have full responsibility for the site's operational, financial and people performance.

About the Role

As General Manager you will lead a multi disciplinary management team across Production, Engineering, Transport, Customer Service and Administration.

Accountable for

• Leading a positive, high performance culture.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and operational performance.
• Driving continuous improvement in productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Managing labour, utilities and operational costs.
• Delivering budgeted financial performance.
• Developing and coaching future leaders.
• Ensuring excellent Health & Safety and compliance standards.
• Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced operational leader who has a proven track record of leading large teams within manufacturing, production, logistics, industrial services, food production, textiles or commercial laundry.

Ideal Candidate

• Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Experience managing large operational teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing ability.
• The ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• A hands on leadership style with high standards and strong accountability.

Experience within the commercial laundry industry would be advantageous but is not essential. We welcome applications from leaders with transferable operational experience from similar fast paced manufacturing or service environments.
