Position: General Maintenance Handyperson

Location: Sheffield, Barnsley

Type: Permanent

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 basic depending on skill level.

The maintenance handyperson will be responsible for general repairs, plumbing, basic lighting checks, compliance checks, fabric maintenance, and minor room/building repairs. The role covers PPM and reactive maintenance on several sites in the Sheffield, Barnsley and Leeds area. This is a permanent position paying £33,000 - £35,000 basic depending on skill level. 35k for more plumbing-biased candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance to the facilities including lamning, fabric maintenance, plumbing, minor joinery, patch painting, completing compliance checks, emergency lighting, tap temperature checks, etc.
• Assist engineers and trades on site.
• Perform basic room repairs.
• Work on a mobile across the area.
• Execute ad hoc handyperson duties.

Requirements

• Maintenance and handyperson experience.
• Valid driving licence.
• Plumbing experience (either mates or other candidates).
• Several years of prior experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Good customer skills; self motivated with a Can do attitude.
• Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks and possess basic plumbing knowledge.
• Operate all building systems competently, effectively, and efficiently, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
