General Cardiologist Opportunity - Rutland, Vermont

A healthcare organization located in Rutland is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified General Cardiologist to join a well-established cardiovascular care team. This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive cardiology in a collaborative environment with strong clinical support and access to modern diagnostic technology.
Position OverviewThe Cardiologist will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with cardiovascular conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves working closely with primary care providers and other specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions
- Perform and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic tests such as stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring
- Manage outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations as needed
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans and preventive care strategies
- Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, risk factors, and lifestyle management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives

General Requirements- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
- Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Clinical experience in general cardiology practice
- Interest in non-invasive cardiovascular procedures and diagnostics
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and community engagement
