GCSE English & Maths Tutor - Wrexham

Prospero Teaching are looking for experienced GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support learners across Wrexham!

The Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable tutors to deliver 1:1 GCSE tuition to secondary-aged learners.

Students may require additional support due to gaps in their education, additional needs or difficulties engaging with mainstream education.

You will work with learners individually, helping them strengthen their subject knowledge and develop the confidence they need to progress.

Position Details:

• Location: Wrexham
• Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor
• Hours: 5-15 hours per week
• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• Experience delivering GCSE English and/or Maths
• Strong knowledge of the relevant GCSE curriculum
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
• Previous 1:1 tutoring experience is beneficial
• Ability to adapt lessons to individual learners
• Experience supporting learners with additional needs is advantageous

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two professional child-related references
