Connected Voice is seeking to appoint a Gateshead Volunteer Development Officer

Full Time Salary £27,810
30 hours per week

Connected Voice is looking for a new member of our Volunteering Team. This is an exciting role that will involve working for the award-winning Gateshead Volunteer Centre to support people into volunteering opportunities and as a support to volunteer-involving organisations operating in the borough. Gateshead Volunteer Centre aims to improve health, wealth and wellbeing by helping residents to find purpose and increase their skills, knowledge and experience.

The role will involve making a positive difference by recruiting, supporting and developing volunteers in Gateshead in their communities, including supporting individuals facing barriers in their lives. It will involve working with local organisations to support them to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities which deliver positive outcomes for volunteers, organisations and the people who use their services.

You will be a people person with the ability to build strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, with good organisational skills. You will have an excellent understanding of the needs and motivations of volunteers. Your attitude, enthusiasm and work ethic are as important to us as experience.
